BAPTISM

Baptism | People of all ages can be baptized at Christ Church. We baptize by sprinkling Holy Water. The United Methodist Church recognizes baptisms from other denominations and churches and therefore does not “re-baptize”. We look forward to assisting your family with planning this special day. We want to make your baptism a memorable occasion.

CONFIRMATION

Confirmation refers to the decision a person makes to respond to God’s grace with intentional commitment, publicly reaffirming his or her baptismal vows before the congregation. During confirmation class, you will learn about the meaning of Christian faith, the history and teachings of The United Methodist Church, and an explanation of the baptismal and membership vows they will be professing.

Confirmation Classes are held twice a year. Each Class is 8 weeks long, and concludes with a worship service of confirmation on a Sunday morning. Classes meet at 10:45 AM on Sunday mornings with the requirement that students also attend one of our worship services prior to class. For more information, click here.

WEDDINGS

The service of Christian marriage is provided for couples who wish to solemnize their marriage in a service of Christian worship. In this service, Christian marriage is proclaimed as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman. We welcome both members and non-members to join in Holy Matrimony here at Christ Church. The decision to perform the ceremony is the right and responsibility of the Senior Pastor, in accordance with the laws of the state and the United Methodist Church.
