If you are facing difficulties, please know that there are others who want to help you. Christ Church provides assistance through a combination of our own ministries and referrals to other groups or services available in the community. 

  

Christ Church Support Services:

Christ Church United Methodist has a fully accredited, licensed psychological counseling center that takes most insurance programs, called the KRIST SAMARITAN COUNSELING CENTER.  

Each and every week a trained Marriage & Family Therapist is on the Christ Church campus, providing a full range of psychotherapy for human emotional health and well-being.

Any person in need of counseling and psychological healing may call the Krist Samaritan Center at 281-480-7554. When making an appointment, ask for Ms. Laura Fletcher at the Christ Church United Methodist location in Montgomery County.

Christ Church has been the home of the Krist Samaritan Counseling Center since 1996.  The Center is a fully accredited Psychotherapy Clinic with 35 clinicians, including Medical Doctor Psychiatrist, PhD and Master’s degreed counselors.

Krist Samaritan Center began its service in 1986 sponsored by three Clear Lake churches who wanted to begin a faith-based counseling center. The Center now has more than 70 supporting churches and more than 20 office locations in the greater Houston-Galveston area.  Christ Church has been the Montgomery County location for the center since 1996.

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance

Participants meet to explore coping and recovery strategies for depression and bipolar disorder diagnosis. A trained facilitator is present to address concerns or answer any questions. For more information including meeting times and location, please see the DBSA website.

Lifeway International

Lifeway provides comprehensive programs for intervention, treatment and aftercare designed to fit a family's needs for the first eighteen months to three years of establishing a recovering lifestyle. Please call Lifeway at 713.270.6753 for current meeting times.

CanCare

CanCare is a network of trained volunteers including cancer survivors, family members of cancer survivors and medical professionals who provide emotional support to others facing cancer.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Trinity Episcopal hosts a local Alcoholics Anonymous Group and The Woodland's Club Serenity Groups meet daily.

 Narcotics Anonymous

The Woodlands Group holds meetings to provide support and  a message of hope to addicts who suffer from the obsession and compulsion to use drugs.

The Pregnancy Assistance Center North 

PACN provides crisis pregnancy assistance, healing and life rebuilding training for expecting mothers and families. Offers pregnancy tests, maternity and baby supplies, peer counseling and support after abortion. Located in The Woodlands and Conroe.
