Missions

The Bible tells us, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.”

There are many opportunities to serve with Christ Church - at Christ Church, locally in our community and region, or on a mission team. To get more involved with serving click here.

Why Serve?

Local & National Missions

On the first Thursday of every month a team from Christ Church prepares and serves 100-125 hot lunches to needy families and individuals at the Conroe Salvation Army.

Pregnancy Assistance Center North (PACN) provides crisis pregnancy assistance, healing and life rebuilding training for expecting mothers and families. Christ Church supports this ministry by hosting volunteer training and participating in fundraisers.

Family Promise helps homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence by providing lodging, volunteers, social service agencies for assessment and referrals and facilities for day programs. Get involved by volunteering in Family Promise's front office answering phones and visiting guests. For a week every three months, we also provide a safe place for families to stay, while providing meals and transportation.

The Montgomery County Food Bank(MCFB) is a non-profit distribution warehouse serving approximately 50 non-profit agencies throughout the county. MCFB depends on grants, monetary donations, food donations, and volunteers. It takes approximately 1000 volunteer hours a month to sort, box, and weigh the food for delivery.

Christ Church assists Interfaith in many ways such as food collection to help feed local citizens on the first Sunday of every odd month, school supply drives in the Fall, Adopt-a-Family at Christmas-time as well as several weekly and monthly opportunities at Interfaith's Veggie Village, Hand Me Up Shop and serving seniors at the South County Community Center.

A community focal point to bring people together in positive ways so that they can become a force for change in the community. The center provides a safe and fun environment for children and youth that will result in opportunities for them to master basic skills, enjoy a variety of life-enrichment activities, and lead to life-changing improvements.

Provides warm, nutritious meals, clothing & other assistance to the hungry and homeless along the I-45 corridor in North Houston, as well as assisting underprivileged single mothers and fatherless children.

An urban transformation ministry that operates transition houses, church missions, a mentoring center, children’s after-school programs, and various food pantries and outreach programs throughout the community.

Provides services to children and youth daily through residential care, foster care and other services.

Brings Christ’s loving redemption and amazing liberation within our communities by providing environments conducive for holistic healing, and guiding adult survivors of domestic sex trafficking to healthy, productive and independent living.

Works to advance the Kingdom of God by investing locally in families and children in need of homes and healthcare, and discipling broadly to share the Gospel to the lost.
